What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, when you joined, a short code generated for you, which button on the page you joined from, and, if you arrived through someone's invite link, the code on that link. If you change your code, we keep the codes you used before, so your old links keep working. That is the whole record.

What we don't collect

No name. No location. No payment details. No wallet. Nothing about your device or your browser is stored with your signup. We set one cookie, and only when you sign in to see your referrals. It keeps you signed in and does nothing else. It expires on its own a short time later. Your IP address is never stored with your signup.

Counting visits

To see how many people visit, we use Umami, a cookieless analytics service that reports visits, signups, and rough details like country and browser, and never identifies you.

Your IP address

To stop the form being spammed, your address is counted in a separate anti-spam record, kept apart from the waitlist itself. It is held briefly and removed once the window has passed. It is never stored alongside your email, and nothing links the two.

What we use it for

To tell you when Copycat is ready, and to send you a sign-in code when you ask for one. We never store the code itself, only a scrambled version of it, and only until it expires a few minutes later. Nothing else. We do not sell your email address, and we do not pass it to anyone else.

Where it's stored

With the hosting and database providers that run this site. They process it for us, and for nothing else.

Getting removed

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and your record is deleted from the list. You can also email us at hello@copycat.cash and we will do it for you.

This will change

This notice covers a waitlist page. A fuller one arrives before Copycat opens beyond closed alpha. If what we collect ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.
