What we collect

When you join the waitlist we store your email address, when you joined, a short code generated for you, which button on the page you joined from, and, if you arrived through someone's invite link, the code on that link. If you change your code, we keep the codes you used before, so your old links keep working. That is the whole record.

What we don't collect

The waitlist stores only your email address and the things listed under What we collect. Your signup holds no name, no location, no payment details and no wallet. An application to Copycat Inner Circle is the one exception, and the section below says what it stores. Nothing about your device or your browser is stored with your signup or your application. We set one cookie, and only when you sign in to see your referrals. It keeps you signed in and does nothing else. It expires on its own a short time later. Your IP address is never stored with your signup.

If you apply to Copycat Inner Circle

When you apply, we store your name, your email address, the X handle, Telegram username and country you choose to share, your answers about how you trade, anything else you choose to tell us, and the wallet addresses you add. We use them only to review your application and reply to you. We do not sell them, and we do not pass them to anyone else. Applying also adds your email address to the waitlist if it is not already on it, so we can tell you when Copycat is ready.

While you fill in the form, your answers are saved in your own browser so you can come back to them. When you ask for a code, we store your email and send the code through our email provider. While you sign, WalletConnect (run by Reown) sees your wallet address. When you send the application, we store your answers (including any TikTok and YouTube links), the wallets you add with their signatures, and the referral code you arrived with, if any.

If you connect a wallet, the connection goes through WalletConnect, a service run by Reown. You sign a message that proves the wallet is yours. Signing it sends no transaction and moves no funds. Copycat never holds or controls your wallet.

We keep your application until you ask us to remove it. You can ask to see it, correct it or have it removed at any time by emailing us at hello@copycat.cash.

Counting visits

To see how many people visit, we use Umami, a cookieless analytics service that reports visits, signups, and rough details like country and browser, and never identifies you.

Your IP address

To stop the form being spammed, your address is counted in a separate anti-spam record, kept apart from the waitlist itself. It is held briefly and removed once the window has passed. It is never stored alongside your email, and nothing links the two.

What we use it for

To tell you when Copycat is ready, and to send you a sign-in code or an application code when you ask for one. We never store the code itself, only a scrambled version of it, and only until it expires a few minutes later. Nothing else. We do not sell your email address, and we do not pass it to anyone else.

Where it's stored

With the hosting, database and email providers that run this site. They process it for us, and for nothing else.

Getting removed

Every waitlist email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Use it and your record is deleted from the list. You can also email us at hello@copycat.cash and we will do it for you.

This will change

This notice covers this website: the waitlist and applications to Copycat Inner Circle. A fuller one arrives before Copycat opens beyond closed alpha. If what we collect ever changes, this page will say so before it happens.
